Worldcon returns to Southern California with LAcon V, a five-day celebration of science fiction, fantasy, horror, and the wider world of speculative storytelling.

Taking place August 27–31, 2026 at the Anaheim Convention Center, Hilton Anaheim, and Anaheim Marriott, LAcon V brings together writers, artists, creators, fans, performers, filmmakers, scientists, gamers, and imaginative minds from around the world.

Across the weekend, attendees can explore an expansive lineup of panels, readings, workshops, performances, concerts, film screenings, exhibits, Artist Alley, cosplay, community gatherings, and special events; including the legendary Hugo Awards, honoring outstanding work in science fiction and fantasy.

Whether you come for the stories, the art, the ideas, the community, or the chance to discover something entirely unexpected, LAcon V invites you to celebrate the many worlds of speculative fiction and the people who bring them to life.
