[NYC + ONLINE]

March 16th marks the one-year anniversary of the tragic Atlanta spa shootings. @RedCanarySong, in collaboration with the Asian American Feminist Collective @aafc.nyc and NYU’s Intersectional Feminist Queer Collective and Center for Study of Gender & Sexuality @csgsnyu, will be hosting a live memorial vigil – both in-person and digital – for the eight lives lost.
While March 16th is framed as a horrific one-time tragedy caused by a “lone gunman,” we know that Asian spas and massage parlors are systematically targeted by white patriarchy on a regular basis, through anti-prostitution police stings (under the guise of white saviourism) and anti-trafficking organizations that frame all workers as victims.
Join us for a time of collective remembrance and healing.
Online or In-Person at Washington Square Park in NYC.
